Torino vs Roma Match Analysis and Prediction

Roma will be looking to secure a Europa League finish in Serie A when they finish their 2021-22 domestic campaign away to Torino on Friday.

The hosts are currently 10th in the table, having collected 50 points from their 37 league matches this season, while Roma occupy sixth position, one point clear of seventh-placed Fiorentina.

II Toro have finished 16th and 17th in their last two Serie A campaigns, so there has been a definite improvement this season, now sitting 10th, two points behind ninth-placed Verona ahead of their final game of the season against Roma.

Ivan Juric’s side enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 victory over Hellas Verona on May 14, with Josip Brekalo scoring the only goal of the match in the 19th minute.

Torino have won eight, drawn five and lost five of their 18 home league matches this season to collected 29 points, and they will be facing Roma who have been inconsistent on their travels, winning seven, drawing three and losing eight of their 18 away league matches.

Meanwhile, Roma are currently sixth in the table, having recorded 17 wins, nine draws and 11 losses from their 37 matches to collect 60 points, which has left them one point clear of seventh-placed Fiorentina.

A win on Friday will enable them finish in the top six and secure a spot in next season’s Europa League, while they could still finish above Lazio if I Biancocelesti lose to Verona on Saturday, as Jose Mourinho’s side have the better head-to-head record over their rivals.

I Giallorossi, who defeated Leicester City in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League earlier this month, have not been victorious in the Seria A since April 10, having drawn three and lost two of their last five matches in Italy’s top flight.

Prediction and Odds

Roma’s recent form in Serie A has been disappointing, and they will be taking on a Torino side who will be full of confidence due to a strong set of results over the last few weeks.

Mourinho’s side will want a win to confirm their top-six finish, but we are predicting a draw.
