Torino and Lazio aim to keep their impressive starts to the season going when they meet on Saturday night at the Stade Olimpico Grande Torino, with kickoff at 7:30 pm.
After just six minutes into their Serie A opener against Bologna, Lazio found themselves a man down on the pitch. Luis Maximiano was sent off after being deemed reckless by the referee, and then Bologna scored their first goal of the match.
However, not for the first time under manager Maurizio Sarri, Lazio turned things around from being behind, and Ciro Immobile scored in the 79th minute to give Lazio three points. In total, they have now done this five times since Sarri joined last summer – no other team has done more than them in that period.
Torino has not beaten Saturday’s visitors since May 2019, when they defeated them 3-2. Since then, Torino has lost five times in a row to Saturday’s visitors and had six different managers.
However, the club under Ivan Juric has done well recently, earning a place in the top half of the standings last year after finishing 16th and 17th in successive seasons. Star striker Andrea Belotti is seeking a new employer, while defensive rock Bremer has already departed for city rivals Juventus.
