Inter Milan will be looking to extend their winning streak when they take on Torino at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in their Serie A Matchday tie 29 on Sunday night with kickoff at 22:45.
Torino have been inconsistent this season and they continued their inconsistency last time out as were held to 0-0 draw by Bologna at away last Sunday. Ivan Juric’s side have now failed to win their last six Serie A matches, picking up three draws and three defeats in the run.
As result Torino still remain 11th in the standings although both Bologna and Empoli have climbed closer to them, and another poor result could leave them down in 13th.
They will therefore be looking to end their recent slump as they aim at breaking into or staying closer to the top-half.
However in there way stands the Scudetto chasers Inter Milan, who they have fallen to in their last five encounters including the 1-0 in the reverse fixture.
Milan head into the match off the back of two consecutive victories in across all competitions, claiming a rampant 5-0 victory against Salernitana in Serie A before edging Premier League giant Liverpool 1-0 in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, although they were knocked out 2-1 on aggregate.
The wins ended their five-match winless run across all competitions and they will be looking to extended their new found momentum as they need to continue winning if there are going to keep the pressure on the league leaders AC Milan.
They currently sit second in the standings with two points adrift of Milan although they have played one match less. With confidence form their previous win surely Inter will fancy their chances of picking up another victory on Sunday.
