Manchester City will look to maintain their perfect record in the Champions League when they host FC Copenhagen to Etihad in their Matchday three in Group G.
Manchester City have made strong starts to both their Premier League and Champions League campaigns this season as they remain unbeaten in both competitions. They have won six and drawn of their eight Premier League matches this season and currently sit second in the league, one point behind Arsenal at the top.
Meanwhile they have a 100% record in the Champions League after two matches, winning 3-0 at Sevilla on the opening night, before beating Dortmund 2-1 at home. They sit top of Group G, three points above Dortmund and they will want to maintain their lead with another victory on Wednesday.
Guardiola’s men are coming off 6-3 home win over Manchester United in their local Manchester derby in the Premier League and they will be buzzing heading into the midweek fixture. They are unbeaten in their last 21 home matches in the Champions League and should be confident of extending that run on Wednesday.
FC Copenhagen, on the other hand, have been struggling in their Danish Superliga, while they are still searching for their first Champions League win.
They have won five and lost six of their 11 league matches and currently sit six on 15 points in the table, one point above the bottom half, while they have lost one and drawn one in the Champions League and currently third in Group G, level on one point with Sevilla at the bottom of the table.
The Danish are two points behind Dortmund in second place, but advancing for them will tall order therefore they will want to take their chances with the third-spot which will take them to the Europa League.
They are coming off a confidence-boosting 1-0 win over Aarhus in the domestic league and they will be looking to build on it as they seek their first win in the Champions League on Wednesday.
