Sweden continues their steady climb to the top of Group B in the World Cup 2022 qualifiers this week when they take on Greece. The match schedules for Tuesday evening at the Friends Arena with kickoff at 9:45 pm.
Both sides come off wins in their last encounters in the World Cup qualifiers. Sweden came off a 3-0 win over Kosovo, while Greece registered a 2-0 win over Georgia.
The hosts lost 2-1 to Greece last month but made an impressive return to winning ways on Saturday night, defeating Kosovo 3-0 with goals from Emil Forsberg, Alexander Isak and Robin Quaison.
Sweden has lost four games and won one in the European section to accumulate 12 points, placing them one point behind Spain, who have played a game more.
If Sweden wins, they will move up to Group B’s top spot. A win or draw against Greece would also put them safely in through next month’s last two matches against Georgia and Spain.
On the other hand, Greece will move into Tuesday’s game after beating Georgia 2-0 late in stoppage time. The team has now won the last two games in Group B and is now on nine points. A win on Tuesday would give them a serious chance at first place in the group.
The only previous time Sweden beat Greece was during the Euro 2008 group stage when both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Peter Hansson scored.

Sweden Team News
The Manchester United center-back Victor Lindelof did not join the Swedish national team for personal reasons. Dejan Kulusevsi will play in the same position as Isak, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they’re on the field together.
Greece Team News
Tsimikas should play in a full-back for Greece, while captain Bakasetas can play in a slightly lower area again, which was the case against Georgia.
