Both Sudan and Guinea will be looking for their first CAF World Cup qualifiers win when they lock horns at the Stade de Marrakech in Morocco on Wednesday in a Group I clash with kickoff at 19:00.
Sudan have made a poor start to their World Cup qualifiers campaign having lost all their two opening matches losing 0-2 to Morocco in their first match before the 2-4 defeat to Guinea Bissau in their second match.
The Falcons Jediane are now in the bottom of the Group I standings with zero points and -4 goal difference and will desperate for the three points or at least a point heading into this exciting fixture if they are to keep their qualifying hopes alive.
Hubert Velud’s side come into the match in a poor form having lost three of their last four matches with their only win being a 0-1 win over Libya and have been struggling with their defence having conceded six goals in just two matches.
Meanwhile Guinea will also be looking for their first win the Group but this side has only played one match in the group drawing 1-1 with Guinea Bissau in their opening match. This will be their second match in Group I of the CAF World Cup qualifier and the National Elephants will be eager to record their first win and should take advantage of Sudan’s shaky defence and the fact that the match will be played on neutral location.
Guinea head into the match in a better form than that of their opponents having just lost one of their last four matches but have also recorded one win in that run. The Syli Nationale are coming off the 1-1 draw with Guinea Bissau and although they feel somewhat disappointed by the draw, they should fancy their chances in this match with Lokomotiv Moscow attacker Francois Kamano expected to cause plenty of problems to their defence-struggling opponents.
