St Mirren will be looking to extend their winning run in the Premiership when they welcome Hibernian to St Mirren Park for their Matchday five tie on Saturday.
St Mirren suffered back-to-back defeats in the Premiership in their opening two matches, falling to 1-0 home defeat to Motherwell on the first day before surrendering to a 4-1 loss at Aberdeen on the second day.
The Buddies have however managed to bounce back with successive victories against Ross County and Dundee United. A narrow 1-0 home win to the former was followed by an impressive 3-0 away success at Tannadice.
They have surely shown improvement at both ends of the pitch and they will keen to keep the momentum going as Hibernian come to town for their next Premiership encounter.
Hibernian have almost had the opposite start to the campaign than their Saturday hosts as they won on their opening day, but have since failed to win their following three matches.
They are coming off a 2-2 home draw against Rangers, their second draw of the season having earlier drawn 1-1 with Hearts. A 2-1 defeat to Livingston is sandwiched between the draws.
Hibs now sit eighth in the league standings on five points and they will be looking to get their campaign back on track on Saturday, as they seek to strengthen their bid for a top half finish this season. They claimed a 1-0 win on their last league visit to St Mirren Park and they hoping for the same this weekend.
