Spain will be looking to make back-to-back victories in UEFA Nations League when they welcome Czech Republic to La Rosaleda in Malaga for their fourth round tie on Sunday night.
Spain opened their UEFA Nations League campaign with back-to-back draws to Portugal 1-1 and Czech Republic 2-2 in their first and second rounds respectively.
They however, managed to bounce back with a narrow 1-0 win over Group A2 whopping boys Switzerland last time out. Luis Enrique’s side now sit second in the group standings on five points, two points behind leaders Portugal.
They will now be hoping to overtake Portugal to the summit of the group with another positive result on Sunday and having not lost in their last 18 home matches they should be confident.
Czech Republic meanwhile have recorded an inconsistent run so far as they have won one, drawn one and lost one of their opening three games, and currently sit third in the group standings with four points, just a point behind their Sunday’s hosts.
They suffered a 2-0 defeat to Portugal last time out and they will be looking to bounce back on Sunday as they also seek to remain within range to challenge for the top finish. They will however need to be at the top of the game again to take anything away from Spain in the clash.
