Sivasspor prepare for the visit of Hatayspor at Yeni 4 Eylul Stadyumu on Sunday in matchday eight of the 2022-23 Turkish Super Lig season.
Both teams head into the contest off the back of defeats in their last matches and now set out to get themselves back on track by securing all three points this weekend.
Sivasspor suffered a 2-1 defeat to Angaragucu when the teams met at the Eryaman Stadium on September 18 just before the international break, with Giorgi Beridze and Ali Sowe scoring for the hosts before a Clinton N’Jie consolation.
As a result, Riza Calimbay’s side have slipped down to 17th place in the league standings, one point adrift of safety, although having played an extra game.
Next up for the Braves is a task of an opposing side who are yet to emerge victorious in any of the most recent five editions of this fixtures dating back to 2002.
Ahead of a continental commitment against FC Ballkani four days later, Sivasspor will look to kickstart their domestic campaign with a much-needed three points on Sunday.
Mwanwhile, Hatayspor’s search for their first three points continued following a 4-0 defeat to Kayserispor at the Yeni Hatay Stadyumu two Fridays ago.
Bernard Mensah and Mario Gavranovic both striked from 12 yards either side of goals from Miguel Cardoso and Andrea Bertolacci to condemn Guneyin Yildizi to a defeat.
With a meagre tally of one point from a possible 18 so far this season, Volkan Demirel’s side remain rooted to the bottom of the Turkish Super Lig table and are in need of a lift.
Still yet to win a competitive game away from home since the turn of the year, Demirel’s side have it all to do in this contest as they aim to avoid yet another fruitless game on the road.

Prediction and Odds
Hatayspor’s incapability to find the back of the net on a consistent basis has been their biggest undoing this season, something that could affect their result here.
While Sivasspor have not been particularly impressive in front of goal either, we are backing them to come away with all three points.
