Sheffield United will host Cheltenham Town at the Hillsborough Stadium in their League One Matchday 40 tie on Saturday evening with kickoff at 18:00.
Sheffield Wed have recorded mixed results recently and head into the match off back-to-back draws against Accrington 1-1 and Gillingham 0-0. They have now won one of their last four League One matches a run that has seen them displaced Oxford United and Sunderland from the playoff spot, although they have a game in hand on the two.
They currently sit seventh on 66 points from 38 matches a point behind the sixth-place Sunderland and three behind the fifth-placed Oxford. They will therefore be looking to bounce back to winning ways as they aim to break back into the playoff spots.
The south Yorkshire outfit will draw confidence from their fine home form, that has seen them record 12 victories, five draws and only two defeats from their 19 home matches this season.
Meanwhile Cheltenham Town have also been struggling for form recently, alternating defeats and victories and head into the match off a 2-0 defeat to Plymouth last Tuesday night. The defeat ended their back-to-back 3-1 victories over Morecambe and Wimbledon in League One.
They have won three and lost three of their last six league matches and they currently sit 12th in the league standings on 50 points from 39 matches, level on points with the 13th-placed Accrington Stanley.
They will therefore be looking to retain their top-half spot with a positive result on Saturday which will not be a walk in the park as they face a side with playoffs in mind.
