Sheffield United will look to build on their opening Championship victory when they return to action on Tuesday as they host Preston North End.
Sheffield United finally picked up their first win of the Championship campaign on Saturday when they took a 6-2 victory against the newly promoted Peterborough united.
Sheffield United had a difficult start to the campaign following their relegation from the Premier League, and headed into a new era under the management of Slavisa Jokanovic. They began in the fixture against Birmingham City losing 1-0 before they headed against Swansea resulting to a goalless draw.
The Blades then fell to a 4-0 thrashing at the match against West Bromwich Albion, they then lost 2-1 at home to Huddersfield Town, then drew 0-0 with Luton in the final game to the recent international break.
The blades come to this match with a desperate need to build on the victory against Peterborough as they see this to be another crucial victory to build consistency and climb the championship table.
On the other hand, Preston had a poor start in the championship season losing their opening three games. The visitors then bounced back and grabbed 1-0 victory against Peterborough United before a back to back victory defeating Swansea City 3-1 at home. The latest match had Frankie McAvoy’s side make the trip to take on Bristol City on Saturday and the match ended goalless.
Preston climbed up to the 13th position and will come to this match with the need to continue on their fine form and climb to a better position.
