Unbeaten in their six straight Chinese Super League matches, Shanghai Shenhua will be looking to extend their run when they take on Shanghai Port at Jinzhou Stadium on Wednesday.
The hosts are currently sitting eight in the table on nine points from six matches, while Shanghai Shenhua are second in the standings having picked up 16 points through six matches, level on points with first-placed Wuhan Three Towns.
Having scored six goals and conceded six through their six matches, Shanghai Port trail third-placed Henan Songshan Longmen by five points for a spot in the AFC Championship League Qualifiers.
Ivan Leko’s side saw their last Chinese Super League match end in a 2-1 victory over Wuhan Yangtze River FC at Puwan Stadium.
Xu Xin found the opener for the visitors in the 11 minute and ensured they went into the interval 1-0 ahead, before Bruno Viana restored parity in the 66 minute. Cherif Ndiaye then scored the second for Shanghai Port in the 83rd minute to secure all three points.

Meanwhile, Shanghai Shenhua secured a 2-1 victory over Guangzhou FC at home in their last league match, which saw them extend their unbeaten start to the league season to six, with five wins and one draw.
Jingui Wu’s side are currently four points ahead of fourth-placed Shandong TaiShan for a spot in the AFC Champions League Qualifiers.
Shanghai Shenhua have won three and drawn one of their last four league matches on home soil. Cao Yunding and Zhu Chenjie have been the most prolific players for the club with two goals each.
