Shandong TaiShan will be hosting Dalian Pro at the Wuyuan River Stadium on Tuesday looking to record their fourth victory if five matches in the Chinese Super League.
On the other hand, the visitors are currently unbeaten in the top flight this season, although with just one win to their name.
Off the back of a poor effort in the AFC Champions League, it would have been assumed that Shandong TaiShan may make a slow start on the domestic front this season.
However, last season’s champions have picked up nine points from a possible 12, even though their solitary defeat was by a 4-1 scoreline against Henan SSLM.
Their three victories have all come alongside clean sheets, two 1-0 wins being followed by the 4-0 thrashing of Changchun Yatai last time out.
Hao Wei’s side managed to score three times either side of the interval before Moises added his second of the game with 13 minutes remaining.
Next up is a challenge against an opposing side of whom they defeated 4-0 in the last meeting between the sides in the Chinese FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Dalian Pro could not have got much worse than last year’s effort where they went down to 15 defeats from 22 matches.
Ordinarily, there was pessimism even before a ball was kicked, but Xie Hui has guided his side to an unbeaten start to the season against the odds.
Having picked up six points from four matches, it would be regarded as a significant success, although it should be pointed out that they have held winning positions in each of their three draws.
The Blue Hawks’ only victory also came against an opposing side Guangzhou City, who have lost every game, strengthening the feeling that they should not get carried away with their results at this stage.

Shandong TaiShan news
Song Long came in to replace Dai Lin during the first half of the game against Changchun, and he is likely to retain his spot in the middle of the backline.
Midfielder Marouane Fellaini has only been provided with two substitue appearances and he is likely to feature on the bench for this contest.
Dalian Pro news
Xie Hui made four substitutions before the final quarter in the game against Zhejiang Professional, and Tong Lei and Yan Xiangchuang were both withdrawn in that game.
Wang Tengda and Wang Zhen’ao are seemingly the most likely players to be recalled after their introduction at half time last time out.
Prediction and Odds
Shandong TaiShan probably have the advantage heading into this contest as they play at home and show a greater cutting edge in the final third of the field.
However, Dalian Pro will be equally satisfied with their start to the season and another draw here would be regarded as a positive step.
