Shamrock Rovers will be looking to bounce to winning ways in the Premier Division when they take on Bohemians at the Tallaght Stadium in their matchday 21 fixture on Friday night with kickoff at 21:45 EAT.
Shamrock Rovers have made a good campaign in defence of their Ireland Premier Division title as they currently lead the title race with 42 points from 20 games. They are five points above the second-placed Dundalk, although Shamrock have played one match more.
The reigning champions, however, have slipped recently with the side suffering two defeats in their last three league matches, including the 1-0 defeat to Dundalk last time out. They now will be looking to return to winning ways as they look to maintain their five point lead in the league.
Having already edged Bohemians twice this season with 4-1 victory on aggregate, Stephen Bradley’s side should be confident of getting their campaign back on track in the Friday’s clash.
Bohemians have been having their ups and downs recently in the Premier Division following a bright start to the campaign. They have now won just two of their last six league matches, picking up two draws and also suffering two defeats in the run.
The run has them now sitting sixth in the Premier Division on 26 points from 19 games, two points outside the top-half. The Bohs, however, head into the match off a confidence-boosting 1-0 win over Shelbourne last week Friday and will want to make it back-to-back wins in the top-flight. They will need to be at the top of the game though, to take anything home from the Friday’s fixture.
