Sevilla host Valencia at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in La Liga on Wednesday after a tough weekend, both sides did not have a win but are still in the top six of the La Liga table.
The hosts are in the sixth position with 8 points from the 4 matches played. Sevilla kicked off the new La Liga season with back-to-back victories over Rayo Vallecano and Getafe. Both wins Sevilla had clean sheets beating Vallecano 3-0 and the match against Getafe ended in a 1-0 score.
Sevilla then travelled to meet Elche on the third round taking a 1-1 draw. The latest encounter was the weekend fixture against Real Sociedad which ended in a goalless draw. This was the third draw since the start of the new season across all competitions.
Sevilla remain unbeaten but will be looking to get back to their winning ways to get a position in the UEFA champions league qualifying positions.
Valencia on the other hand, come from a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid on home turf. Real Madrid scored twice in the last five minutes of normal time to secure a smash and grab victory at the Mestalla. This was the first defeat in the campaign having had won the earlier matches with a 3 goal difference in the matches going to the Saturday defeat.
Valencia had a disappointing campaign last season finishing 13th but they have started the new campaign in an impressive fashion. They started the campaign with a 1-0 victory over Getafe, before earning a creditable 1-1 draw away at Granada.
Valencia then had back-to-back dominant wins, firstly defeating Alaves 3-0 before thrashing Osasuna 4-1. Vinicius Junior and Kareem Benzema snatched the early 1-0 score in the last five minutes last time out and Valencia need to quickly bounce back from that late disappointment with what would be an impressive result on their travels.
