Salernitana will welcome Spezia to Stadio Arechi for their Serie A Matchday 11 tie on Saturday evening.
Salernitana failed to build on their 2-1 win over Verona earlier this month as they fell to a 2-0 away defeat to Inter Milan last time out.
They have now just won two of their last 10 league games and currently sit 12th on 10 points in the league standings, one point off the top half and two above 16th-placed Lecce. Therefore, a defeat on Saturday could leave them as low as 16th, a scenario they will want to avoid.
They will be looking to bounce back on Saturday and having looked decent at home this season they will fancy their chances.
Meanwhile, Spezia drew 2-2 with Cremonese in their previous Serie A fixture, extending their winless run to three games in the league and they have now won just one of their last nine top flight games.
They however claimed a 3-1 home win over Brescia in a Coppa Italia fixture last Wednesday and they will be looking to build on it as they look to bounce back to winning ways in Serie A. They sit 15th, one point behind Salernitana and a win could leave them in the top half.
They have not lost to Salernitana in their last five meetings, winning four times in the run. They should therefore look to draw confidence from that as they seek to climb over their hosts, but they have lost all their five away games this season and have much to amend.
