Salernitana will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Serie A on the bounce when host Lazio at the Stadio Arechi in an important league fixture on Saturday night with kickoff at 20:00.
Salernitana are battling to survive the Serie A on their first top flight promotion in 23 seasons with club experiencing a difficult welcome back to Italy’s big-time. The Salerno side has only managed to claim three wins from their 19 league matches, drawing two while suffering 14 defeats in the process. Mauricio Sarri’s side are winless so far this year, following a 3-3 draw against Empoli earlier this month and the 2-1 defeat to the league leaders Inter Milan last Sunday. The run has seen them drop into their current spot and therefore they will be looking to bounce back in and resume their pursuit of a European place with a win on Saturday.
They will fancy their chances as they coming up against a lowly Salernitana who have been struggling at the back at have only won one of their nine home matches this season. Also, Lazio have won in all their last three encounters scoring 12 goals while conceding just one in the run.
