After a draw with Poland, the Stanislav Chechesov’s trip will be hosting the last friendly match against Bulgaria on the 5^th June 2021. The match is scheduled to kickoff at 16:00 at the VTB Arena.

Vyacheslav Karavayev scored an equalizer goal against Poland in their previous friendly match. Both teams went on to miss good chances on the second half before settling for a share of spoils at fulltime.

Russia will be exited to win their final warm up game at home, where they have suffered only two defeats of their last thirteen matches, they have also claimed eight wins and 3 draws.

The Bulgarians on the other hand have lost six games in all the competitions they have participated. In their previous friendly meeting Bulgaria conceded a defeat of 1-0 to Russia.

The team’s main issues are in the attacking department, as the Bulgarians have only managed to score more than a goal only against minnows Gibraltar across the last nineteen meetings. Only one of their last five outings resulted in over 2.5 goals, while two witnessed goals at both ends.
