Real Madrid look set to come back to winning ways in La Liga this weekend after a successful Champions League midweek clash. The side play host to side Alaves at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium this Saturday with kickoff at 11 pm.
Zinedine Zidane’s side are currently four in Spain’s top flight, six points behind leaders Real Sociedad. Alaves are currently 15th on the table having picked ten points from their last ten matches.
Real Madrid ensured a safe space back in their race for the last 16 with a triumphant 2-0 win at the San Siro. The win saw the Los Blancos climb to second spot in their group ahead of Shakhtar Donetsk.
However, their domestic exploits have been far from impressive with a heavy loss to Valencia and drawing to Villarreal in their last two matches in Spain’s top flight. In their last nine matches, Zidane has pulled off five wins, drawn and lost two matches in La Liga.
A win this weekend will set the side well with two heavy matches at the start of December against Shakhtar and Sevilla. Their corresponding fixture ended in a 2-0 win, however Alaves pulled off a shocking 1-0 win in the previous campaign.
In their last ten matches, Alaves managed to win two matches, draw four and lost four. The side are currently 15th on the table while just three points off relegation zone.
