Reading host Peterborough at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday with both teams looking to put poor runs of form to an end in the campaign.
The hosts broke a three game losing run with a 3-3 draw against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday. A John Swift hat-trick saw Reading take a 3-1 lead last time out before they were pegged back and eventually forced to settle for the draw.
Reading had a fair start in the campaign but lost 3-2 to Stoke City in the opening game and bounced back with a victory against Preston North. Since then Veljko Paunovic’s side has suffered three defeats in a row losing to Bristol City, Coventry City and Huddersfield Town and are currently placed at the 22nd position in the league standings.
This will be a great opportunity for the Royals to climb out of the relegation zone with a win against fellow strugglers.
Peterborough on the other hand, are 23rd in the league standings tied on points with their opponents here having won only one match at far. The Posh had a fair start too in the campaign after their promotion from league one.
Peterborough lost their first match to Luton Town and bounced back with a 2-1 victory against Derby County before the draw against Cardiff City. This was followed by three defeats in a row. Peterborough come from a 6-2 thrash by Sheffield united this past weekend and will look to bounce back with a win against Reading.
