Rangers will be looking to continue setting the pace at the top of the Scottish Premiership when they welcome St Johnstone to Ibrox on Wednesday night with kickoff at 22:45.
Both sides have made opposite campaigns in the premiership with Rangers making a strong and impressive campaign registering 13 victories, three draws and one defeat in their 17 league matches, collecting 42 points which have left them occupying the top spot in the standing with four points in the clear, while St Johnstone have made a poor and disappointing campaign with the club recording three wins, five draws and eight defeats in their 16 matches and currently sit at the bottom of the table on 14 points, four points adrift of safety.
They both head into the match in opposing forms with the Gers dominating the league since the start and are in a brilliant form as they haven’t lost in league match since losing 1-0 to Dundee United in the second league fixture in August and are coming of a six-match winning streak. The Saints meanwhile, have been among the league whipping boys this season and have not won in any of their last four matches and are coming off a three-match losing streak.
Both will be going for a win in this fixture with Rangers looking to keep setting the pace at the top of the standing as Celtic are only four points behind them, while St Johnstone will seeking to end their poor form and try to salvage their season.
Rangers though, will fancy their chances as they dominated head to head record against St Johnstone, as the Gers have only lost in one of their last 12 meeting against the Saints claiming eight victories in the run and they will keen to continue their dominance. However, the Saints won 4-2 the last time they visited the Ibrox and will be looking to build on that.
