Zhejiang Professional vs Beijing Guoan Match Analysis & Prediction

Zhejiang Professional’s AFC Champions League Qualifiers hopes will once against be put on test on Wednesday at Huzhou Olympic Sports Center against a Beijing Guoan side who face a key battle to maintain their top five status.
The hosts are currently sitting in third place in the league standings on 49 points, 16 behind first-placed Wuhan Three Towns, who have already confirmed their place in the AFC Chmapions League.
Fourth-placed Shanghai Port, the first team outside of the AFC Champions League spots, are level on points with Zhejiang Professional, with the three sides in third, fourth and fifth places only separated by goal difference.
Zhejiang claimed a 6-1 victory in their last Chinese Super League game at Mission Hills Football Base Stadium against Hebei FC, extending their unbeaten run to four matches with three wins and one draw.
The last league game between the two sides, a September match at Workers’ Stadium, ended in a 2-2 draw. Franko Andrijasevic and Matheus Nascimento got on the scoresheet for Zhejiang Professional, while Zhang Yuning scored for Beijing Guoan, with goals coming in the 25th and 66th minute.
Meanwhile, Beijing Guoan enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 victory over Shanghai Shenhua at Jinjiang Football Training Center Stadium in their last league game, extending their Chinese Super League winning streak to three matches.
Denny Wang Yi opened the scoring for Shanghai Shenhua in the seventh minute at the Jinjiang Football Training Center Stadium, but Zhang Xuzhe and Zhang Yuning scores for Beijing Guoan in the 54th and 76th minutes respectively to eansure they came away with all three points.
Yuning has been the most prolific player for Beijing Guoan, having scored on 17 occasions this season, including six match-opening goals, and he ranks third in the league’s scoring charts in the 2022-23 campaign.
