Wycombe Wanderers play host to Bristol Rovers at Adams Park on Boxing Day, with the two sides separated by a single point in the fight for playoff spots in the League One table.
The sides each boast two victories and a draw from their last three matches, leaving the hosts seventh, two points outside of the top six, while their visitors are just one point worse off in ninth place.
Wycombe did not enjoy the strongest start to the season, as a run of a defeat and two draws left them on 22 points from 17 league matches , before an important win away at Forest Green Rovers in mid-November was then followed by another defeat to Cheltenham Town.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side then travelled to take on Lincoln City, but they were forced to settle for a goalless draw, before facing the tough test of a home game against Ipswich Town last time out, where they claimed a narrow 1-0 victory.
Meanwhile, Bristol Rovers make the trip looking to leapfrog their opponents and strengthen their own playoff bid with another victory one Monday.
The Gas have impressed since their promotion from League Two last season, and they now find themselves five matches unbeaten in League One since a defeat away at Derby County in late October.
After playing out draws with Fleetwood Town and Bolton Wanderers either side of a victory over Peterborough United, Joey Barton’s side put together back-to-back league wins together heading into Boxing Day.
Bristol Rovers’ impressive improvement has seen them quickly rise to ninth place in their first season back in League One, and they will now aim to continue climbing with a fourth straight win across all competitions, which would see them leapfrog the hosts and potentially move withing touching distance of the top six.
