Wrexham vs Woking Match Analysis & Prediction

14/02/2023 10:45 pm

Wrexham aim to strengthen their spot to challenge for the National League title on Tuesday, as they host Woking at Racecourse Ground.
The hosts came out on top over Wealdstone in a 3-1 scoreline last time out, while the visitors were able to overturn a two-goal deficit to ensure a point in a 2-2 draw with Boreham Wood.
Wrexham enter the contest in fine form, going 17 consecutive league matches unbeaten to leave them in second place in the table, four points behind leaders Notts County and with two games in hand on their title rivals.
Phil Parkinson’s side have been superb in every aspect of the game this season, boasting the second-best defensive record per match played in the division, while also recording the most goals per game.
With 12 goals in their last five game, Wrexham are in great goalscoring form recently, which will be important as they face one of the best defences in the league.
A perfect record of 13 matches played and 13 wins at home this season gives Wrexham the upper hand in this contest, as they average a staggering 3-6 goals per game at the Racecourse Ground.
Meanwhile, Woking are currently third in the National League standings and look set to finish in the top seven this campaign, collecting four more points already than they managed throughout the whole of last season.
However, despite only being one spot behind the hosts in the table, there is a considerable disparity in the points tallies between the two sides, with Wrexham entering the contest with 14 more points than the visitors.
Woking head into the matchday believing that they can pick up a result away from home, as they hold the third-best record on the road this season, collecting 29 points in their 15 matches.
However, Darren Sarll’s side will be aware of the dangers that Wrexham pose in this game, as they have a dreadful recent record against the hosts, having lost five of the last six times they have faced them.
Wrexham vs. Woking Head to head
In the 22 previous meetings between these two teams, Wrexham have claimed 11 victories while Woking have won six, and they have drawn in five. Woking have scored 23 goals and conceded 35 in the process.
