Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Liverpool Match Analysis & Prediction

Liverpool will be looking to preserve their unbeaten run in domestic competitions when they travel to Wolves for a FA Cup third-round replay on Tuesday.
The Reds came away with a 2-2 draw from their first meeting with the Molineux club but were left disappointed not to have sealed qualification at Anfield.
Wolves defender Willy Boly thought he had knocked holders Liverpool out of the FA Cup at Anfield on January 7, only for the offside flag to be raised and video assistant referee (VAR) not to come to his rescue.
Before the camera angle-related controversy, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Hwang Hee-chan, and Goncalo Guedes were all on target in a Merseyside thriller, handing Wolves a second bite at the cherry in their bid to send one of the big boys packing.
Still fighting the fight in one knockout competition, Wolves were dumped out of the EFL Cup quarterfinals by Nottingham Forest four days after holding Liverpool.
Liverpool was humbled at home by Brighton on Saturday. They lost 3-0 after being outfought, outclassed, and torn to shreds.
Somehow getting to halftime at 0-0, the floodgates opened soon after: Solly March scored twice before Danny Welbeck completed the humbling of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Now in ninth place in the table and seven points adrift of a top-four spot, Liverpool is battling even to salvage their European status entirely.
They have not won in three successive games in all competitions and have shipped eight goals in that time – extending their run without a clean sheet in all competitions to seven matches.

Still without long-term absentees Chiquinho, Sasa Kalajdzic, Pedro Neto, and Boubacar Traore, the Wolves continue to sweat over the fitness of Diego Costa. After picking up an apparent problem in the win over West Ham, experienced midfielder Joao Moutinho will need further assessment.
