West Brom vs Sheffield United Match Analysis & Prediction

Seeking their first home win in six matches, West Bromwich Albion will play host to leaders Sheffield United at The Hawthorns in the Championship on Sunday evening.
Since the 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough at The Hawthorns on October 1, West Brom have put together a 10-game unbeaten run in the Championship, but a record of nine draws during that period means that the Baggies have lost ground in the race for Premier League promotion.
Hull City are the only side to be beaten by West Brom over the past two months, with the Baggies posting draws against Norwich City, Sunderlnd and relegation-threatened Preston North End following the final international break of the calendar yar in November.
Scoring for the fourth time in the Championship this season, Karian Grant fired West Brom ahead at Deepdale to conclude a briliant team move, but a second-half effort from towering Dane Emil Riis Jakobsen restored parity in the game for Preston.
Carlos Corberan’s side are occupying seventh position in the Championship standings, two points behind Watford in the lowest of the playoff spots as the campaign enters the harsh winter months.
Meanwhile, a narrow victory over Sheffield Wednesday in the Steel derby brought Sheffield United to four straight wins prior to the international break, and Chris Wilder’s side have since collected a tally of seven points from three matches against Coventry, Oxford United and Sunderland.
The Blades extended their winning and clean-sheet run at Bramall Lane to eight matches last weekend, when former Everton and England U21 midfielder Tom Davies scored his first goal for the club to overcome Sunderland.
West Brom vs. Sheffield United Head to head
