Watford vs Hull City Match Analysis & Prediction
11/12/2022 6:00 pm
Both Watford and Hull City will look to return to winnings ways in the Championship when they face off at the Vicarage Road in their Matchday 22 tie on Sunday evening.
Watford picked up a 0-0 draw against Bristol City before the World Cup. Prior to that, they saw their three-game winning streak come to end as they went down 1-0 to Coventry City.
The Hornets did bounce back after that with a 2-0 win over Reading and now with 33 points they occupy the fourth place in the Championship standings, five points behind second placed Sheffield United and two above seventh-placed Millwall.
Therefore as the league action returns to fold, Watford will look to return with a positive result as they seek to remain in the playoff berth and continue pushing for the automatic-promotion places.
Hull City, meanwhile, have made a disappointing campaign in the Championship this season as they went into the World Cup break with only 24 points from 21 games.
Currently the Tigers sit 20th in the league standings, only two places and one point above the relegation zone. They suffered a 2-1 home win against Reading before the World Cup and they will be desperate to bounce back on Sunday.
They warmed up for the fixture with a couple of 1-1 draws against Basaksehir and Trabzonspor in the club friendlies during the break, and will look to draw some confidence from that.
