Wales vs England Match Analysis & Prediction

In the pivotal Group B match of the 2022 World Cup, Wales must beat England at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium on Tuesday to stand a chance of making it through to the next round. With a victory and other results going their way, they could progress as group winners.
Wales’s hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the 2018 World Cup were dashed after a 2-0 defeat to Iran, as Ramin Rezaeian and Roozbeh Cheshmi scored in injury time.
Following a red card for Wayne Hennessey, Wales fell behind to a Ramin Rezaeian strike in the 98th minute and were eliminated from the competition when Cheshmi added a second three minutes later.
Bottom of their group with just one point, Wales must beat England and hope that Iran’s clash with the United States ends in a draw to qualify, but Team Melli or the Stars and Stripes will eliminate unless they can thump Gareth Southgate’s side by seven goals or more.
After an uneventful draw with the United States, some Three Lions fans booed their players off the field.
The best chance of the game was Christian Pulisic’s effort which crashed against the crossbar, and England lost the attacking acumen that saw them hit Iran for six on an opening day and missed the chance to wrap up a top-two finish with a game to spare.
Southgate questioned whether his players were jeered off the pitch, but he cannot deny that much more will be needed from his side on Tuesday, where a win would confirm England’s place in the last 16 as Group B winners.
Wales vs. England Head to head
Both sides have four games against each other with the visitors taking all four wins while the visitors still winless.

Wales Team News
Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey will sit out this match due to his red card against Iran, opening the door for Danny Ward to start between the sticks.
Page could not pick up any new injury concerns in the loss to Iran, where Joe Allen was able to come off the bench following his hamstring injury.
However, Swansea City midfielder Allen was largely at fault for Cheshmi’s long-range effort and poor clearance.
