Tunisia vs Botswana Match Analysis & Prediction

07/09/2023 10:00 pm

Tunisia will play host to Botswana at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi in round six of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
For the hosts, securing top spot of their group is the main aim heading into this one, while the visitors will be looking to avoid finishing bottom.
Tunisia played out a 1-1 draw against the Desert Warriors of Algeria in the side’s friendly game at Stade de 19 Mai 1956 on June 20.
As a result, the Carthage Eagles are now unbeaten in four of their last five matches across all competitions since a 1-0 defeat to Australia in the 2022 World Cup.
Having not suffered a home defeat since June 2021, Jalel Kadri’s side are huge favourites to secure victory in front of their fans once again.
Meanwhile, Botswana ended a run of four successive defeats by claiming a narrow 1-0 victory over Mediterranean Knight of Libya at the Francistown Stadium on June 17.
While their AFCON hopes have long been dashed, Mogomotsi Mpote’s side have now moved up to third place in Group J of their qualifiers, a point clear of bottom-placed Libya.
Currently on a run of just one win from 10 matches away from home leading to Thursday’s match, the Zebras have it all to do in Rades if they are to avoid a fruitless game on the road.
