Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal Match Analysis & Prediction

The 193rd edition of the North London derby headlines Sunday’s Premier League action, as Tottenham Hotspur host rivals and league leaders Arsenal.
The Gunners claimed a 3-1 victory over a sluggish Lilywhites side earlier in the season, but Antonio Conte’s side tend to prove a different beast in North London derbies on their own soil.
Three days after beating Crystal Palace 4-0 away from home in the Premier League, Tottenham relied on Harry Kane’s effort to get them over the line against a dogged and determined Portsmouth side in the FA Cup, setting up a fourth-round trip to Preston North End in the process.
While ending their wretched 15-year trophyless run will certainly be the priority, Conte is fighting an uphill battle to make it back-to-back seasons in the Champions League for Spurs, who sit fifth in the table with 33 points from a possible 54 so far.
The 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace is arguably the only convincing success that Tottenham have recorded over the past couple of months, with three of their last four Premier League matches at home ending in defeat, during which time they have conceded at least two goals per game.
Six days before beating Oxford United 3-0 in the FA Cup, Arsenal could not blow down the brick wall that was Newcastle United in a 0-0 Premier League draw, cutting their lead at the top over Manchester City back down to five points approaching the midway point of the season.
With Manchester United in the league and Manchester City to come before the end of the month, business both on and off the field will be telling in terms of Arsenal’s title credentials, as top transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk watches on this weekend with bated breath.
Now unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League matches, the Gunners also have five wins from their last six top-flight games away from home -including each of their last three – and six goals conceded on the road is unsurprisingly the best defensive record in the division alongside Man City and Newcastle.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Arsenal Head to head
In the previous 180 meetings between these two sides across all competitions, Tottenham have claimed 58 victories while Arsenal have won 73, and they have drawn in 49. Arsenal have scored 281 goals and conceded 249 in the process.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News
Swedish attacker Dejan Kulusevski was back in training after a muscular problem, and the Juventus loanee will surely start ahead of Bryan Gil if he is fit enough.
Rodrigo Bentancur remains a doubt and the derby is also expected to come too soon for Lucas Moura and Richarlison, but Yves Bissouma should shake off a minor injury that kept him out of the FA Cup win over Portsmouth.
