Torino vs Atalanta Match Analysis & Prediction
04/12/2023 10:45 pm
Torino will be looking to close the gap between themselves and Atalanta BC in the Serie A table when they meet in round 14’s match at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Monday.
Ivan Juric’s side lost their three-game unbeaten run at Bologna in the previous round, while Atalanta’s winless league streak continued after losing to Napoli.
Torino’s 2-0 defeat was somewhat anticipated due to Bologna’s impressive home form, but Juric and his side seek to get back to winning ways against off-form Atalanta.
The Bull’s results on home turf have been mixed, with three drawn matches diminishing the fact that just one defeat has been handed to them at home – a 3-0 loss to Inter Milan, before gameweek 14’s commencement.
Meanwhile, Atalanta’s European success has slightly affected domestic performances, with La Dea failing to win in Serie A since late October despite topping their Europa League group.
Despite having the fifth-best away record in Serie A, the inconsistency from game to game and even within matches threatens to undermine Atalanta’s prospects this season, with two defeats and as many wins secured in the last five away encounters.
Gian Piero Gasperini will hope for a perfect performance in Turin to return to winning ways and avoid slipping to mid-table as Monza and Frosinone are two points behind, while Lazio are three adrift.
Torino vs. Atalanta Head to head
