Swansea City vs Bristol City will meet in an FA Cup third-round replay on Tuesday night, with the two sides looking reach the fourth round of the competition.
Joel Piroe gave Swansea the lead in the 15th minute of the game last weeken, before Antoine Semenyo scored a 75th-minute equaliser to force a replay for the two Championship sides.
Swansea will enter the contest off the back of an impressive 3-1 victory at Sunderland in the Championship on Saturday.
Russell Martin’s side are currently 11th in the Championship table, just three points behind sixth-placed West Bromwich Albion, and it does appear that it will be a fascinating battle for promotion this season.
Indeed, there are currently just four points separating 14th-placed Reading from West Brom, so the Swans are very much in the playoff position as this stage of the season.
Bristol City were also involved in a thrilling Championship match on Saturday, as they claimed a 4-2 victory over Birmingham City at Ashton Gate.
Nigel Pearson’s side, who finished 17th in the Championship last season, have never won the FA Cup, but they famously reached the final of the 1908-09 tournament, losing 1-0 to Manchester United.
The Robins will bring a four-game unbeaten run into this game, including draws against Millwall and Coventry City in the Championship.
However, Bristol City have not managed to win an FA Cup match since January 2021, losing two of their last three in the competition against Sheffield United and Fulham.
