Standard vs Eupen Match Analysis & Prediction
27/01/2023 10:45 pm
Both Standard Liege and Eupen will look to bounce back to winning ways in the Belgium Pro League when they face off at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne in their Matchday
Standard are coming off a 4-1 battering at Royal Antwerp last time out, ending their four match unbeaten run in the league. They did just win once in that run though and will need to avoid anymore setbacks on Friday.
They have already lost to Eupen this season in the reserve fixture and will want to avoid a double being completed over them in front of their fans. They have not lost to their visitors in their last six home meetings, something to draw confidence from.
Eupen picked up a 1-1 draw at Oud-Heverlee Leuven, extending their winless matches to three in the Pro League. They are currently hovering above the relegation zone as they sit 15th on 20 points, one place and level on points with Zulte who are in the danger zone.
Another setback this Friday will surely leave them sitting inside the bottom three at the end of the weekend, something they will look to avoid. They won 2-0 in the reverse fixture against their hosts and will be hoping for the same here.
Standard vs. Eupen Head to head
Both sides have met in 17 encounters since 2006 with Standard claiming 11 victories, while Eupen have claimed three victories and there have been three draws.
