After a good start to the campaign, Brugge have lost their stride going winless in their last five league games and have also been knocked out of the Beker van Belgie.

The tun has seen them drop to fourth-place in the league standings, with only a point above fifth-placed Gent and are now 20 off Genk at the top of the table. They will be looking to bounce on Thursday and having dominated this fixture, Brugge should be confident, although, it was the St Truiden who saw them out of the BvB with a 4-1 away win in the round of 16.

St Truiden had a poor start, but seem to have founf their stride, claiming 10 points from their last five league games to climb to ninth-place in the standings,level on 30 point with eighth-placed Leuven and seventh-placed Westerlo.

They are coming off a 2-0 win over Eupen in their previous league fixture and will be determined for another positive result at home against a struggling Brugge, as they seek to climb into the Europa League playoff places.
