Sparta Prague vs Dinamo Zagreb Match Analysis & Prediction

31/08/2023 8:00 pm

Seeking to overturn a two-goal deficit, Sparta Prague welcome Dinamo Zagreb to the epet ARENA in the second leg of their Europa League playoff tie on Thursday night.
Dinamo will be looking to get the job done and secure a spot in the Europa League group stage when they travel to Czechia after claiming a 3-1 first-leg victory last week.
Sparta Prague are at least guaranteed a Europa Conference League spot this season, but their chances of booking a place in the Europa League group stage are slim following last week’s first-leg defeat to Dinamo.
Dinamo Zagreb’s first-leg win over Sparta was their first victory under new head coach Sergej Jakirovic, who replaced Igor Biscan just hours after their elimination from Champions League qualifying just under two weeks ago.
Jakirovic’s side will be confident of success in Czechia as they have put together an eight-game unbeaten run on the road, while they have never lost to Sparta in four previous encounters across all competitions.
Sparta Prague vs. Dinamo Zagreb Head to head
In the four previous meetings between these two teams, Dinamo Zagreb have claimed one victory while they have drawn in three.
