Shanghai Port vs Chengdu Rongcheng Match Analysis & Prediction

Having both enjoyed good runs of results in the Chinese Super League, Shanghai Port and Chengdu Rongcheng will be looking to continue their Chinese Cup runs on a positive note.
While the hosts enter the contest sitted in fourth place on 65 points, the visitors are currently occupying fifth place, level on points with their opponents on Thursday, only separated by goal difference.
Shanghai Port were last in action in the Cup on December 19, when they claimed a 3-0 home victory over Suzhou Dongwu, and will be confident of picking up a positive result once again given that they play on home ground.
They have since played three league matches, succeeding in each of them. They firstly beat Shandong TaiShan 2-0 at home before claiming a 3-0 victory away at Beijing Guoan, and they ended the year with an impressive 4-0 home win over Changchun Yatai on December 31.
Meanwhile, Chengdu Rongcheng enter the contest on a run of four successive victories in all competitions, including a 3-0 home victory over Meizhou Hakka in the Cup on December 19.
They previously played out a 1-1 draw awat at Zhejiang Professional on December 15, but they have since won each of their three league matches after the cup tie.
With all the last three matches played on home turf, Rongcheng firstly claimed a 1-0 victory over league leaders Wuhan Three Towns before beating Wuhan Yangtze 3-1. They then ended 2022 with a 3-0 win against Dalian Pro on December 31.
