Sevilla vs Osasuna Match Analysis & Prediction
02/12/2024 11:00 pm
Sevilla will be looking to secure a second straight victory when they play host to Osasuna at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in La Liga on Monday night.
The Andalusian side are currently sitting in 12th position in the league standings, while the visitors will enter this contest in seventh place.
Sevilla have struggled for consistency in Garcia Pimienta’s first season in charge, having won five, drawn three and lost six of their 14 league matches.
They kicked off November with successive defeats to Real Sociedad and Leganes, before they got back on track with a win in their most recent game against Rayo Vallecano at home.
Midfielder Djibril Sow scored his first goal of the season to guide Sevilla to a 1-0 victory, with the result representing their first home win against Rayo since August 2021.
As a result, Pimienta’s side have now won four of their previous five home matches, keeping clean sheets in three of those wins.
Meanwhile, Osasuna appear to have their eyesight on achieving European qualification after winning six, drawing four and losing four of their 14 league matches this season.
However, their European push has lost some momentum in their last couple of games, having picked up just one points from their previous two matches.
Osasuna suffered a heavy 4-0 away defeat in an away encounter with Real Madrid, before they gave up a two-goal advantage to draw 2-2 in their recent home game against Villarreal.
Los Rojillos looked set to sweep past Villarreal when Ante Budimir scored a first-half brace, only for the Yellow Submarine to net in the 67th and 93rd minutes to prevent Osasuna from securing their sixth home win of the season.
Sevilla vs. Osasuna Head to head
