Sevilla vs Cadiz Match Analysis & Prediction

Cadiz will continue their La Liga survival bid when they travel to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for Wednesday’s encounter with Sevilla.
With three games left to play, the visitors are languishing in 18th position and five points adrift of safety, while the hosts are 12th with 41 points to their name.
Sevilla could move into the top half of the table with a positive run of results in their final three games against Cadiz, Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, with three points separating them from 10th-placed Getafe.
Unfortunately, Sevilla will head into Wednesday’s contest off the back of a 3-2 away defeat to Villarreal. Youssef En-Nesyri scored a brace to give his side a 2-1 lead and reach 50 La Liga goals for Los Nervionenses.
However, the Moroccan’s efforts were not enough, as Villarreal scored in the 84th and 97th minutes to condemn Sevilla to their first defeat in nearly two months.
They will now return to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, where they have won four of their last five matches, including their previous two home games against Mallorca and Granada.
Meanwhile, relegation-threatened Cadiz secured a much-needed victory in Saturday’s home encounter with Getafe to close the gap to safety to five points with three games left to play against Sevilla, Las Palmas and Almeria.
Ruben Alcaraz kept his composure from the penalty spot to score the decisive goal at the Nuevo Mirandilla, securing Cadiz’s fifth league win of the season, and their first victory since beating Granada at the end of March.
They will now attempt to secure successive league wins for the first time since May 2021, knowing that failure to collect all three points will leave them at risk of being relegated with two games remaining.
Unfortunately for Cadiz, their survival hopes will be tempered by the fact that they are one of two teams yet to win an away league game this season, having seen their 17 La Liga away matches produce six draws and 11 losses.
