Senegal take on Netherlands in Group A of the 2022 World Cup at Al Thumana Stadium on Monday, exactly 24 hours after Qatar’s opening game begins against Ecuador on Sunday.

Starting strong against Senegal on Monday will be crucial in order to maintain high morale, with Louis van Gaal perhaps confident of entering the contest with the aforementioned absence of Sadio Mane on the opposition team sheet.
