Meanwhile, Heracles head to Rotterdam this weekend aiming to halt a three-game losing run and all but secure teir place in the top flight for next season.
Excelsior were on the receiving end of a comprehensive 3-0 defeat to NEC Nijmegen when the sides met on Monday night.
