Salernitana vs Torino Match Analysis & Prediction
08/01/2023 2:30 pm
Both Salernitana and Torino will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they face off at the Stadio Arechi in their Matchday 17 tie on Sunday afternoon.
Salernitana opened 2023 with a 2-1 defeat to Milan at home last time out in Serie A, while Torino recorded a 1-1 draw against Verona at home. The defeat for the hosts means they have now failed to win any of their last four league matches, losing the last three in a row, while draw for the visitors means they have picked up back-to-back draw in the league.
Salernitana currently sit 14th in 17 points from 16 games, three points outside the top half of the table, while Torino sit ninth on 22 points, two above the bottom half.
Therefore, Davide Nicola’s side will be looking to end their slump as they seek to continue pushing for a top half spot, while Ivan Juric and co will want to maintain their top half spot and get closer to the European spots with a positive result on Sunday.
Salernitana in a poor form and Torino will look to capitalize on that, but we expect a closely-fought encounter on Sunday.
