Ross County vs St Mirren Match Analysis & Prediction

27/02/2024 11:00 pm

Looking to distance themselves further from the bottom of the Scottish Premeirship standings, Ross County host St Mirren at the Global Energy Stadium on Tuesday night.
Following a 10-game winless league run, Ross County finally returned to winning ways by beating bottom-placed Livingston 3-2 on Saturday.
After a much-needed victory last time out, Ross County have moved onto 22 points from 26 league matches, with Tuesday presenting the opportunity to leapfrog 10th-placed St Johnstone with maximum points, and the chance to close the 10-point gap to sixth.
With 14 of their 22 league points coming at the Global Energy Stadium this season, Derek Adams’ side will be glad to play on home turf once again on Tuesday, having endured three straight away defeats prior to Saturday’s win over Livingston.
After becoming only the third Premiership side to be beaten by bottom-placed Livingston this season, St Mirren responded on Saturday at the SMISA Stadium, beating St Johnstone 2-0 to maintain a healthy advantage over the bottom half of the table.
St Mirren currently sit fifth in the league standings, six points ahead of Dundee in sixth and either better off than seventh-placed Hibernian.
The Buddies have fared poorly at the Global Energy Stadium in recent times, losing their last three matches there, with a late Jordan White strike back in November handing the Staggies a narrow home victory over Steve Robinson’s side.
