Rochdale will look to bounce back to winning ways in League Two when they welcome Stockport to Crown Oil Arena for their Matchday 21 tie on Saturday evening.
Rochdale have made a disappointing campaign in League two so far this season. After 20 games they sit 21st in the league standings on 15 points, one point outside the relegation zone.
The Dale are coming off a humbling 4-1 home defeat to Harrogate last Saturday. They have now lost all their last three league games, while winning just one of the last seven. Their main target this season is to survive League Two, but they will need to bounce back as soon as possible if they are going to avoid a relegation berth.
Stockport, meanwhile, haven’t also the been the most impressive side in League two this season, but they have made a much better campaign than their Saturday’s hosts.
Stockport currently sit 12th on 28 points from 20 games, some 13 points above Rochdale and only five behind the sixth-placed Bradford City. They are therefore in the playoffs berth and will want to stay in contention with a positive result on Saturday.
They claimed a thrilling 5-0 win over Hartlepool in their previous league fixture, before seeing Charlton out of the FA Cup with a 3-1 win last Wednesday night. They should therefore be buzzing in confidence ahead of the fixture and having had the edge against Rochdale, they should fancy their chances.
