11/12/2022 4:00 pm
Burnley will look to keep their top spot in the Championship standings when they travel to Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium to take on playoff hopefuls QPR in their Matchday 22 tie on Sunday evening.
Burnley have been imperious all season in the Championship as they have only been beaten twice in 21 matches this season and currently sit three points in the clear at the top of the table.
Before the World Cup , the Clarets were in a brilliant form winning five of their last six matches. The only setback came in a humiliating 5-2 defeat at Sheffield United, but they did bounce back with a comfortable 3-0 against Blackburn.
Coming up against a struggling QPR the league leaders should fancy their chances, as they look to strengthen their lead.
QPR had a good start to to the campaign and were leading the standings after 16 games. However, going winless in their subsequent five games has seen them drop to sixth place now.
They warmed up for the return of the league action with a 2-1 win over Livingston in a friendly fixture and they will look to draw confidence from that.
