Defending KNVB Beker champions PSV Eindhoven play host to ADO Den Haag at the Philips Stadion on Thursday in the third of of four quarter-final ties this week.
The hosts are aiming to secure their first back-to-back successes since 1988-89 and 1989-90, while the visitors seek a third victory in the most illustrous knockout competition in Dutch football.
PSV qualified for the last eight with a 3-1 victory over Emmen, down partly to Everton loanee Jarrad Branthwaite bagging a brace within the opening quarter-hour at Philips Stadion.
No longer in the Europa League after being eliminated last Thursday by La Liga outfit Sevilla, PSV will have no excuse if they fail to qualify, for at least the Europa Conference League, with their sole concentration now back on domestic football.
Unbeaten in five Eredivisie matches, including a 3-1 victory over Twente on Sunday, Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s side look set to surprisingly make only their second appearance in a KNVB Beker semi-final in the last 10 years.
ADO Den Haag set up Thursday’s tie under the lights of the Philips Stadion following a 1-0 victory over Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles on February 9.
the Hague will hope to bring their league form into the cup contest after putting an unbeaten nine-game run in the Eerste Divisie.
Dick Advocaat’s side were held to a goalless draw by Den Bosch in the second tier on Sunday, despite limiting their underwhelming hosts to having no shots on target throughout the game at De Vliert.
That stalemate letf Den Haag 19 points behind second-placed Heracles Almelo, with Advocaat’s side now realistically left to set their sights on finishing in the Eredivisie relefation playoffs, which they are currently four points adrift of.
PSV Eindhoven vs. ADO Den Haag Head to head

ADO Den Haag Team News
Dick Advocaat is unlikely to make any changes to his starting XI despite being held to a draw by Den Bosch, considering his side were arguably the better side throughout large spells of the game.
Xander Severina, Joey Sleegers and Ricardo Kishna will begin the game in an attack-minded midfield trio behind lone striker Thomas Verheydt.
