PSG vs Strasbourg Match Analysis & Prediction
28/12/2022 11:00 pm
PSG will look to continue in their winning ways when they welcome Strasbourg to Pars des Princes for their Ligue 1 Matchday 16 tie on Wednesday night.
PSG have had a good start to the campaign and went into the World Cup break leading Ligue 1 standings with five points in the clear, having picked up 41 points from 15 games.
They were on a seven-match winning streak across all competitions before the break, and they stretch the run further with a couple friendly victories over Paris and Quevilly-Rouen. They should therefore have enough confidence heading into the fixture and having not lost to Strasbourg in their last 19 home games, it should really be a routine win for PSG.
Strasbourg, by stark comparison, have claimed just one win all season – the fewest of any club in France’s top flight. Julien Stephan’s side has racked up a league-high eight draws and is just two points from safety in a congested bottom slice of the table.
They had failed to five league fixture before the winter break and will be desperate to return to winning ways on Wednesday, but anything other than a home win would be a major surprise.
