Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar Match Analysis & Prediction
10/01/2023 2:30 pm
Perth Glory play host to Brisbane Roar on Tuesday looking for a victory that will move them off the bottom of the A-League standings.
Despite seven places separating the sides, the hosts will cut the gap to fifth-placed Brisbane to two points with a victory, while the visitors are looking to move into third place.
Perth Glory have picked up seven points from their last five matches since they were beaten 4-0 by Melbourne City in the final game before the World Cup.
The second of their recent victories came at the weekend as they claimed a 1-0 win over third-placed Western Sydney Wanderers, Keegan Jelacic scoring the only goal of the game.
Although that win was not enough to move Ruben Zadkovich’s side out of 12th place, they now sit level on points with Melbourne Victory and will move into ninth with another victory on Tuesday.
While Glory are currently on a high, the same can be said of their opponents, who are unbeaten in their eight most recent matches, five of which have ended in draws.
Since returning back to action, Brisbane Roar’s five matches have not featured more than two goals, their two victories coming by a 1-0 scoreline and three draws all being 1-1.
Last time out, a second-half goal from Jay O’Shea proved to be the difference as Warren Moon’s side battled their way to victory at Melbourne Victory.
