Paris Saint-Germain Women vs Vllaznia Women Match Analysis & Prediction
23/11/2022 8:45 pm
Paris Saint-Germain Women and Vllaznia Women will both be looking to claim their first victory of the Women’s Championship League group stage when they meet at Stade Jean Bouin on Wednesday.
The hosts are currently unbeaten in their last four games across all competitions, while Vllaznia have won their previous three league matches.
PSG reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last season, but they have their work cut out to even qualify for the knockout stages this time around.
Gerard Precheur’s side defeated Hacken 3-0 on aggregate to advance to the main draw, where they have picked up one point from two matches.
As a result of a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea and a goalless draw at Real Madrid, PSG are still searching for their first goal of the group stage.
Precheur will be concerned that his side have only hit the target on five occasions across their encounters with Chelsea and Real Madrid, with just four teams having recorded fewer shots on goal than PSG in the group stage this season.
On the other hand, Vllaznia secured their place in the group stage by defeating Spartak Myjava and Vorskla Poltava in qualifying.
Nikolin Leka’s side have found it tough going in the main draw conceding 10 goals in their opening two matches without scoring.
After losing 2-0 to Real Madrid, Vllaznia travelled to Kingsmeadow to face Chelsea where they were beaten 8-0 by the in-form English Champions.
While Vllaznia have struggled defensively, they will also need to improve in the final third in the Champions League after failing to record a shot on target in their first two group matches.
However, the Albanian champions have managed to return to winning ways in the Albanian top flight, winning their last three league matches by a combined scoreline of 21-0.
