Olympique Lyonnais Women vs FC Zurich Women Match Analysis & Prediction

Olympique Lyonnais Women will be looking to replicate the 3-0 victory that they recorded against FC Zurich Women two weeks ago when they meet the Swiss side in the reverse fixture an the Groupama Stadium on Wednesday.
The French champions are currently one point adrift of the top two in their Women’s Champions League group, while Zurich are still without a point to their name.
Lyon are unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions, while they have managed to win all of their previous four games.
A Signe Bruun hat-trick and a Selma Bacha brace helped Lyon claim a 8-0 victory over Dijon in their most recent league game on Saturday.
While they are currently two points clear at the top of the league table, Sonia Bompastor’s side have work to do if they are to retain their Champions League title.
The European champions are sat in third place in Group C after kicking off their Champions League campaign with a disappointing 5-1 defeat to Arsenal.
Lyon played out a 1-1 draw with Juventus, before they claimed a 3-0 away victory over Zurich, and with one point separating them from the top two, another win here could move them into the top two depending on the result of the game involving Juventus and Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Zurich have struggled in a tough Champions League group after cruising through the qualifying stages by scoring 18 goals without conceding.
Inka Grings’ side suffered a 2-0 defeat to Juventus in their opening game, before Arsenal beat them through a 3-1 scoreline.
Another disappointing result followed two weeks ago when they suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Lyon, leaving Zurich bottom of the group without a point to their name.
Zurich will be determined to collect some point in their remaining three group matches, and although an away game with Lyon represents a tough test, the Swiss side will look to draw inspiration from the fact that they have won their last two contests since losing to the European champions.
