Nottingham Forest vs Burnley Match Analysis & Prediction
18/09/2023 9:45 pm
Burnley will be looking to halt a run of disappointing early form in the Premier League season when they travel to The City Ground to face Nottingham Forest on Monday.
The hosts are currently sitting in 12th place in the Premier League standings after top-flight action on Saturday, five points ahead of the bottom four.
Nottingham Forest won their last league match, claiming a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before the international break, halting a two-game losing run across all competitions.
Conincidentally, the Tricky Trees faced Burnley in the EFL Cup on August 30 at The City Ground, ultimately suffering a 1-0 defeat in front of their own fans.
Forest won their only previous league match at The City Ground this season, and are in the midst of a four-game home winning streak dating back to April 26 against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Burnley suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur at Turf Moor in their last Premier League match, their third successive loss, which has left them in 19th place on zero points.
Vincent Kompany’s side have yet to play away from home this season, but they had 13 wins, eight draws and two losses in their 23 Championship games on the road in 2022-23.
Nottingham Forest vs. Burnley Head to head
In the 59 previous meetings between these two teams, Nottingham Forest have claimed 20 victories while Burnley have won 23, and they have drawn in 16. Burnley have scored 89 goals and conceded 76 in the process.

Burnley Team News
Kompany will welcome Anass Zaroury back from his three-game suspension, while Aaron Ramsey (concussion) and Vitinho (knee) have also recovered from their afflictions.
Zaroury’s return could threaten Johann Berg Gudmundsson’s place out wide, but none of Darko Churlinov (blood poisoning), Michael Obafemi (hamstring) and Hjalmar Ekdal (knee) should be making their returns anytime soon.
